A Rustic Virginia Wedding by JordanQuinn Photography

By Krista

After an amazing weekend in Boston for my 30th birthday (thanks, hubby), I’m so glad that when I finally sat down, I got to drool over the gorgeousness of this rustic Virginia wedding, beautifully shot by JordanQuinn Photography at the stunning Early Mountain Vineyards. The rolling hills, the grey and purple color palette, the mismatching bridesmaids and the adorable flower girls - just the start of the beautiful details of Kaitlyn and Aaron’s wedding.

From the photographer, Jordan:

Kaitlyn & Aaron said “i do” against the most picturesque backdrop. turns out when you combine rustic elegance, fall in wine country, some homemade, fun-sized pies as favors, and provided transportation at the end of the night, you get a damn good special day. Their day was as close as you could get to perfection, with every moment infused with good hearty smiles, anticipation, and joy.

What a gorgeous wedding! So obsessed with the details that just go perfectly together - simple, thoughtful and stunning.

A Virginia Yacht and Golf Club Wedding by Andi Grant Photography

By Krista

We love this Virginia wedding captured by Andi Grant Photography, because a little rain couldn’t stop the beautiful ceremony of Shawn and Dex. Despite the cloudy skies, the purple and green color scheme of the wedding were still bold and beautiful and the bride looked stunning (love the braid in her hair)!

From the photographer, Andi Grant:

This event was a gorgeous tent wedding by the water. The groomsmen arrived on a boat, there were tons of flowers, an Excalibur was their getaway car, and the rain during their ceremony made everything even more wonderful.

River Farm Gardens Wedding by The Happy Couple Wedding Photography

By Keri

This next real wedding is a quirky and fun, bicycle inspired, backyard affair submitted by The Happy Couple Wedding Photography. If you follow me on Pinterest, you know that I am a sucker for bicycles so this real wedding was right up my alley! I think I will be pinning some of these images myself! And if there is one thing I love more than bicycles…it would have to be brunch. Let’s face it, I could drink a mimosa any time of the day. Needless to say, this real wedding has it all. Enjoy!

Classic Garden Wedding by Melissa Arlena Photography

By Keri

It’s going to be difficult to believe that our next wedding falls into the real wedding category, because the details are that beautiful and the bride and groom both look like models, but believe it because it’s real. Captured by Melissa Arlena Photography, this Virginia garden wedding is just about as pretty as it gets.

About the affair…

While planning her wedding day, Rachel was inspired by the venue itself- from its distinct brick work to the romantic details throughout the property. For the bride, it was the idyllic setting for a classically Southern garden affair. As she tells us, “Our wedding colors - cobalt/sapphire blue and chartreuse/apple green with chocolate brown and ivory accents - were inspired by nature with a modern twist, and were repeated in all of the wedding details.” DIY details abound although Rachel will be the first to credit the personalized touches as purchases from her beloved Etsy- including the paper flower garland, guest book, chalkboard menu platters and the “Mr.” and “Mrs” chair back signs. Favorite wedding day details include the orchids (Rachel’s favorite!) featured throughout their bouquets and centerpieces, as well as the addition of a wine box ceremony, which they will open again on their 5th Wedding Anniversary. Guests were delighted by the personalized specialty cocktails- the “Painkiller” as a nod to Steve and Rachel’s trip to the Virginia Islands and the “Scotch of the hour,” which paid homage to Steve’s dad’s affection for good scotch. As for favorite wedding memories, Rachel fondly looks back on the quiet moment they had to themselves immediately following the ceremony, which allowed them to reflect on the day and celebrate that they were officially husband and wife. As for advice for future brides, Rachel tells us, “Start planning early, and don’t be afraid to ask for help! Also, make a promise to yourself and your future husband that once the wedding rehearsal rolls around, you will stop stressing over last-minute details and really make it a point to enjoy that night and your wedding day with the friends and family who have gathered to celebrate with you.”
