A Breathtaking Wye Island Wedding by Heather Armstrong Photography 2

By Krista

And now it’s time for some drop dead gorgeous details - get ready for wedding beauty overload! (here’s part 1 of this wedding if you missed it)

From the photographer, Heather Armstrong:

Okay, get your favorite drink, sit back & enjoy this wedding! Just going through the pictures made me ohhh & ahhh over Eric & Christine’s love, just the way that they look into each other’s eyes melt my heart all over again!! My team loved every second of this wedding, the location, the lighting, the details, the magic! This destination Wye Island Plantation Wedding was perfection! Christine is one of the most artistically talented people I have ever met. She hand drew their invitations, created all of the sweet details, & painted all of these cute little signs that led the way right to their wedding site. Pulling onto the first road to their wedding my heart got so excited just seeing the Christine & Eric sign, and as we kept driving into the heart of this Plantation more adorable signs followed. Even upon leaving we found one more sign that we had missed coming in! The ceremony was absolutely moving. They had a time of worship, prayer, & feet washing! I think that the most remembered thing about this wedding was that every second of Christine & Eric’s day was so enjoyed, so taken in, so heartfelt!!

Congratulations, Christine and Eric!

Navy & Yellow, Lemon Inspired Wedding Meaghan Elliott Photography

By Keri

This gorgeous wedding by Meaghan Elliot Photography is truly impressive. The bride, a graphic designer, was inspired by blue, yellow and lemons. Yes, lemons! We love unexpected inspiration and this wedding is definitely that! Every last detail is flawlessly executed and perfectly styled, east coast style. And just check out that custom mailbox! Too cute!

From the photographer…

I hope that you are well! I wanted to share a May wedding with you, shot in Baltimore, Md. The bride is a graphic designer and had super cute details. Her color scheme was yellow and blue…. She used lots of lemons in the decor and the groom wore seersucker. They initially intended to get married in Italy… but then decided to get married in a “very Baltimore” venue and head to Italy for their honeymoon. :)

Casually Elegant Maryland Wedding: Nicole and Jim

By Krista

How amazing would it be to rent an entire inn for a full wedding weekend with close family and friends? That’s exactly what Nicole and Jim did, renting The Oaks, an inn right on a cove off the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Captured by Teri, of TPoz Photography, we are delighted to share this beautiful wedding.

From the beautiful bride, Nicole:

Our overall theme was ‘casual elegance’ with a bit of cozy, country charm; the aim was to put together a beautiful celebration, but to avoid making it too ‘stuffy’. We wanted all of our guests to enjoy not just an evening, but an entire weekend of relaxation and celebration. The site we chose suited us perfectly and lent itself to the wedding we hoped to create. Our wedding venue, The Oaks, reminded me of the beautiful, rural part of Maryland where I grew up. It instantly felt like home, and I knew my family would feel the same. Jim was raised in Pittsburgh, PA, so we were both excited to share this beautiful part of Maryland with his family and friends.

The most memorable moment for us was our ‘reveal’ before our ceremony. The first time we saw each other on our wedding day wasn’t in front of all of our guests, but instead we had a few moments to ourselves. It was more emotional than either of us had anticipated, and so special to share a few private moments before the craziness of our day!

We wanted to make thing really easy for everyone, so we kept everything – from our rehearsal dinner to our reception - at the same location. The grounds of our venue are large enough that we were able to have multiple events on site, without it feeling redundant. We enjoyed our rehearsal dinner on a picturesque pier sitting over an inlet of the Chesapeake Bay, exchanged our vows under beautiful oak trees overlooking the water and finally celebrated at our reception in the beautiful ballroom only steps away from our ceremony site!

My mother was a single mom for much of my life and I really wanted to honor all of her sacrifices on my wedding day. During the parent dances, we danced to Carrie Underwood’s ‘Mama’s Song’ which spoke to exactly how I felt that day. The dance was definitely a bit of a tear-jerker for my family, but one I am so glad I chose. It was a very special moment, and one that I am sure my sisters will repeat.

Though it may sound cliché, our entire weekend was everything we had hoped for and more. Summers in Maryland can be brutally hot and humid, but somehow we were lucky enough to have perfect 80 degree weather with no humidity; this really allowed all of our guests to enjoy the beauty and the slower pace of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The day before the wedding as well as the morning of, our friends and family that were staying at The Oaks were able to go canoeing, ride bikes, swim in the pool, and play horseshoes and shuffleboard.  It made us SO happy to see everyone having such a great time!

We love first looks, and TPoz Photography captured this one perfectly! Congratulations, Jim and Nicole!
