An Elegant Family Garden Wedding by Mollie Tobias Photography

Good morning and happy Monday! I just love our next submission by Mollie Tobias Photography. This couple’s goal was to have their wedding images ”feel like you have happened upon a family garden wedding – nothing uptight or overly staged – just easy and effortless – simple and elegant” and these images most certainly reflect that. Enjoy!

From the photographer, Mollie…

The couple lives in Los Angeles, but has family in North Carolina which is why they decided to be married in Southern Pines. She loved the natural feel of Weymouth and that is why they kept everything neutral. The bridesmaids wore a soft teal and the groomsmen each wore a tan suit and neutral tie. The bride wanted all of the photos to feel like you have happened upon a family garden wedding – nothing uptight or overly staged – just easy and effortless – simple and elegant. Ragan made the bold move (especially for a wedding in March!) to hold the reception outside completely open air with no tent as a back up. My favorite quote from the bride is when asked to describe their relationship she said that she and Mark are introverts who make each other extroverts.

A Trendy NYC Wedding by Ari + Erik Photography

Good morning east coasters! Today’s wedding gorgeousness comes to us from Ari + Erik Photography. We were quickly drawn to Ari + Erik’s quirky style when we first featured them a few months back. Needless to say, we were thrilled when this amazing NYC wedding landed in our inbox. It was nearly impossible to narrow down the bride and groom pictures and just wait until you see the amazing bouquets the bridesmaids were toting. Swoon!

From the lovely bride, Juliette…

Being that Ron lived in New Jersey and I, Juliette, lived in New York, we decided that we wanted to have a New York City theme. When Ron asked me to be his girlfriend and asked me to marry him, it was in front of the New York City skyline on the New Jersey pier. We have always loved walking by the Weehawken Pier to admire the view of the city. It is one of our favorite things to do. Our overall inspiration was our relationship and therefore we decided that we would personalize our wedding. We customized it to all the things that we had encountered during our relationship that made it so unique and special.

My mother made my veil, which had a beautiful butterfly at the very bottom in diamonds. She also made our pillow for our rings in a shape of a butterfly. Our monogram was the letter “Z” in the middle of a star which was designed by Ron’s dad. My brother designed our cake, which had tons of details that reflect our relationship. Our centerpieces included Hydrangeas, in Spanish Hortensia, which is Ron’s grandmother’s name. She lives in Florida and couldn’t make it. My bouquet held a very special piece of jewelry, a picture of my late grandparents. Being that Ron is Cuban and we were having the wedding in my home town, we decided that the menu would be of Cuban cuisine which entailed some of our favorite dishes.

One of the most memorable parts of the wedding for us both was when I walked into the church. It’s a moment that neither of us will ever forget. We locked eyes and we knew at that very moment that was exactly where we wanted to be.

Sunrise Beach Engagement by ABJ Photo

I am a sucker for anything beach-y and this gorgeous sunrise beach engagement is no exception. Submitted to us by ABJ Photo, this e-session has it all- a gorgeous couple, fantastic scenery and amazing photography. There is not much more an editor can ask for in a submission. It just goes to show that when a shoot is done right, you don’t need a lot of props. Sometimes simple beauty goes a long way. Enjoy!

From the talented photographer…

Our inspiration for the engagement session was to show Donnie and Bethany in a location where they spent much of the early part of their relationship- Wrightsville Beach, NC! The two were both living down at the beach, and even met due to Donnie’s roommates. They love everything about the beach and spent many afternoons riding bikes to watch the sunset. Our schedule did not allow for sunset photos, but we were excited to capture some moving images during a peaceful sunrise. The beach was our own for the first hour of daylight, and the morning was certainly one to remember! Not to mention that Donnie spent many hours after work restoring the cute Carolina Blue bike for his Tarheel bride!!! It was a surprise for her the morning of our session! Donnie proposed to Bethany during a surprise weekend trip to Asheville, NC. They enjoyed the Biltmore Estate for the weekend, and Donnie popped the question in front of the home after a nice dinner.

New Jersey Beach Wedding by Erin H Photography

Our next wedding comes to us from our own east coast state of New Jersey. This gorgeous beach wedding, submitted by Erin H Photography, is a lovely mix of both nautical and romantic. We love the beach-y touches, like the starfish wedding cake, combined with the softness of the beautiful peony bouquets. A talented photographer and beautiful bride top off the fabulousness of this beach-y affair.

From the photographer…

Where do I begin?! This wedding was so much fun, so gorgeous, so amazing…just so perfect in every way. I got to begin the day with Jennifer and her bridesmaids at an amazing house in Deal, NJ. This house was a photographers dream. There was perfect lighting, beautiful grounds and an empty living room that seemed to be made just for this day. With her gorgeous bridesmaids helping her into her gown, Jen just glowed when she was dressed and her eyes smiled when ever I picked my camera up to photograph her. Such a gorgeous bride! After their first look at Sea Bright Beach, we had the best time with her bridal party. It seriously was so much fun to work with them. Well, it wasn’t really “work” but more like hanging out with friends and making some amazing photos. Jennifer and Mike were married at Waters Edge in Sea Bright. After an ocean front ceremony in front of family and friends, the party began and didn’t stop until the very last song was played by the always fantastic NJs Best DJs. They truly are the perfect couple and I am was so lucky to be their photographer. Enjoy this presentation of photos.

Cruise Ship Wedding by Andi Grant Photography

I just love our next wedding, captured and submitted by Andi Grant Photography. This cruise terminal wedding is the perfect example of a couple creating a wedding that is fundamentally “them”.  Leah and Chris met while working as performers on a cruise ship, so it was only fitting that their celebration took place on a ship! This particular story holds a special place in my heart because Dan and I also met on a cruise ship. You can read the story of how we met here. But back to the gorgeousness of this nautical affair…

From the talented photographer…

This couple fell in love while working on a cruise ship, the groom a singer, the bride a dancer…they then got married at The Half Moone Cruise and Celebration center in Norfolk VA, which totally made sense. It’s a high end wedding for sure, with a gorgeous color palette and beautiful lighting. cake pop cake. Christian Louboutin special edition shoes. She bought her dress at Kleinfelds.

From the beautiful bride, Gillian…

I didn’t have specific colors or theme in mind but I just wanted it to be springy, relaxed, fun with good food, drinks and music!

We got married in the church I grew up in, which was very important to my parents as well, and we chose to have our reception at the Maplewood Country Club which is the town where we bought our first house after we got engaged so we kept everything close by- we even had our Rehearsal dinner in our back yard. We have traveled a lot together over the last few years so we named the tables after our favorite places and included a few pictures of us at that city as more table decorations. We were primarily concerned that everyone would have a great time so we danced the night away on the dance floor with everyone else to keep the party going!

My favorite part of my wedding day was walking down the aisle, seeing Dan at the end and all my friends and family on either side of me. I was smiling ear to ear the whole way down.

Drive-in Movie Theatre Retro Engagement by Terra Bailey Photography

We are so excited to share this next e-session with you. Captured by Terra Bailey Photography, the vintage car, roller skates and carnival make this retro session the perfect mix of fun and sexy. Enjoy!

From the photographer…

Sara and Aaron worked with the fabulous Lindsey Regan Thorne for styling and hair and makeup, then I added my photojournalistic ideas to create this awesome vintage engagement session. The session was shot at an old drive in movie theatre in North Carolina, ending at the local fair.
