A Picture Perfect Wedding by Leah Langley Photography

Hello and Happy Friday! Try to stay warm, safe and dry this weekend, East Coasters! We hear Sandy is quickly approaching! Luckily, our next bride got a beautiful day for her Florida wedding. Captured by Leah Langley Photography, I just love how for this couple, the wedding was about joining two families. The bride said her vows to the groom…AND his two daughters. How adorable are the shots of the bride and the girls? Just precious. Enjoy!

From the photographer…

This isn’t your typical wedding. Of course, everyone says that, but this one had many unique features. It was as elegant as any affair, yet they said their vows in a driveway and had their first dance in a friend’s front yard. They used fine china to serve hamburgers and mac n cheese. They had a complete outdoor affair, yet the bride and groom had a privacy tent to peacefully eat their first meal. The bride said vows to her groom, and to his daughters. There were two first looks, one for the bride and groom, and another for the groom and his daughters. The ceiling of the venue was a canopy of oaks, lit by hundreds of lights that the bride’s father personally chose. Danielle and Heath live in a small town in North Florida. There wasn’t a venue that fit their style. So they made one. The bride’s father over saw the whole project of clearing over two acres of land, running electricity and plumbing, and then fully landscaping it. The project took nearly a year to complete, and the result was breathtaking. See for yourself.

A Country Barn Engagement by Michelle Renee Photography

This couple could in fact be the most adorable couple we have ever featured here on East Coast Bride. Beautifully captured by the talented, Michelle Renee Photography, this country inspired engagement session just screams perfection.  A beautiful setting, perfect styling and wait until you see the bride-to-be’s smile. Just gorgeous.

From the photographer…

Liza and Alex grew up on the same street but never knew it until their paths crossed as young adults on New Year’s Eve, 2009. A month after Liza and Alex first met, Alex asked Liza out for a first date. The rest is history. They have been together ever since. Earlier this year, Liza agreed to go for a drive in the country with Alex in his antique Cadillac. When Alex turned town an unfamiliar dirt road, Liza was skeptical. She questioned whether or not they were supposed to be there, thinking the property was private. Alex assured her that it was fine and stopped the car. They decided to walk around for a while and when Alex got out of the car and walked to Liza’s side, he knelt to “tie his shoe” in front of her. Instead of standing up, he held out a gorgeous diamond ring and asked Liza to be his wife. She excitedly agreed and has been glowing in the aftermath of that proposal ever since. This engagement session took place in Centreville, Virginia where Alex’s father owns some land. Liza was originally concerned that the barn would be run-down and not a “pretty” backdrop for an engagement session. Obviously, from these photos it’s clear that the barn, along with every other aspect of the property, was perfect…In every, single way. Liza and Alex drove from Maryland while I drove from Richmond, Virginia for this session. It rained for several hours before, but the clouds parted as soon as the session began. We even got a pretty good sunset out of it! I hope you enjoy the images from this session as much as Liza, Alex, and I have. Thanks so much for your time! :)

A Handmade North Carolina Wedding by Blue Frame Photography

Hello and happy Monday! We are kicking off the work week with this gorgeous handmade North Carolina Wedding, beautifully captured by Blue Frame Photography. This crafty couple made their wedding memorable for their guests adding personal details about Ashville, North Carolina, where they live. I also love how they included their dog, Kota, as the ring bearer. Too cute!

From the photographer…

Jay and Lacy brought a lot of detail that anchors around who they are as individuals as well as a couple. Lacy carried her bouquet in a silver bouquet holder her mother carried in her wedding. They used each other’s favorite flowers — calla lillies and tulips and included their dog, Kota, as their ring bearer. For their reception, they had five journals, each with a theme their guests could write in according to that theme. For example, one book was titled “How to be a Good Wife” another, “How to be a Good Husband” and another, “Great Baby Names.” Their family flew in from all over the U.S. and they wanted to gift them with a little taste of where they live in Asheville, so throughout the whole night, they did raffles and raffled off gift baskets filled with their favorite things about Asheville. They also did what they call a money dance in which they each raised money for their honeymoon by dancing with guests and whoever won didn’t have to do the dishes for a month. (Lacy won…. by a long shot). They definitely had a great party!

Las Vegas Destination Wedding by Jamie Y Photography

Hello and happy Friday! Today we have the pleasure of featuring an east coast couple from our home state of New Jersey and their beautiful Las Vegas destination wedding! Captured by JamieY Photography, this glamourous wedding is not the Vegas wedding you would expect. In fact, it is quite the opposite- gorgeous, sophisticated and classy. Enjoy!

From the photographer…

Nita & Jay traveled to Las Vegas all the way from New Jersey. The day started in the bride’s suite at my favorite hotel The Cosmopolitan. The fabulous team from Your Beauty Call did a wonderful job on the hair and makeup for the whole bridal party. Nita’s gorgeous dress was by Sottero & Migdley and her awesome shoes by Badgley Mischka. The ceremony was then held at the chapel at Mandalay Bay, which I unfortunately was unable to photograph. After the ceremony, all of the guests from the wedding boarded a fun open air double decker bus to take everyone to the famous Welcome To Las Vegas sign for pictures. Then the bus took everyone for a cruise down the strip to the reception location at Maggiano’s inside the Fashion Show Mall on the strip. As gifts to the bridal party, Nita & Jay got them all Ray Ban sunglasses which were perfect for that hot Vegas sun. The reception was beautiful with amazing Italian food and touching toasts from three very important members of the bridal party.
