Sunrise Beach Engagement by ABJ Photo

I am a sucker for anything beach-y and this gorgeous sunrise beach engagement is no exception. Submitted to us by ABJ Photo, this e-session has it all- a gorgeous couple, fantastic scenery and amazing photography. There is not much more an editor can ask for in a submission. It just goes to show that when a shoot is done right, you don’t need a lot of props. Sometimes simple beauty goes a long way. Enjoy!

From the talented photographer…

Our inspiration for the engagement session was to show Donnie and Bethany in a location where they spent much of the early part of their relationship- Wrightsville Beach, NC! The two were both living down at the beach, and even met due to Donnie’s roommates. They love everything about the beach and spent many afternoons riding bikes to watch the sunset. Our schedule did not allow for sunset photos, but we were excited to capture some moving images during a peaceful sunrise. The beach was our own for the first hour of daylight, and the morning was certainly one to remember! Not to mention that Donnie spent many hours after work restoring the cute Carolina Blue bike for his Tarheel bride!!! It was a surprise for her the morning of our session! Donnie proposed to Bethany during a surprise weekend trip to Asheville, NC. They enjoyed the Biltmore Estate for the weekend, and Donnie popped the question in front of the home after a nice dinner.

Now those are some amazing engagement photos! You are absolutely right when you say “a gorgeous couple, fantastic scenery and amazing photography.” I am a sucker for photos that are natural and only incorporate good planning as far as location, time of day, and placement. No need for lighting or effects here. Way to go ABJ Photography!

Thank you for the feature! And, thank you for taking notice of our unobtrusive, candid, and organic, style of photography! It really means a lot to be featured when we do not strive for editorial prints, but images that show our clients love, and their individual taste. This does not always include a lot of props. :) So thankful for this special couple, and that A-MAZING morning!
