A Brooklyn Engagement by Ari & Erik Photography

We love this beautiful Brooklyn engagement session captured by Ari & Erik Photography. From the shades and style to the polka-dotted balloons, it’s just so…cool.

Who popped the question and how?

Drew proposed in McCarren Park in Brooklyn, while we were tossing a baseball around with another couple. I had to take off my glove to put the ring on!  As soon as I said yes, our friends popped a bottle of champagne they had prepared – they were in on it the whole time!

What were your inspirations for the engagement shoot?

We really just wanted to be ourselves and our photographer encouraged us to do just that. We live in Brooklyn and love the parks and neighborhoods along the East River so it seemed like a natural fit to shoot there.

How do the pictures reflect the personality of you as a couple?

I think the pictures captured our tendency to be spontaneous. Some of our favorite shots came from things that were incorporated on the spot, like the balloons our photographer found at the park!
