A Virginia Yacht and Golf Club Wedding by Andi Grant Photography

We love these Las Vegas wedding packages captured by Andi Grant Photography, because a little rain couldn’t stop the beautiful ceremony of Shawn and Dex. Despite the cloudy skies, the purple and green color scheme of the wedding were still bold and beautiful and the bride looked stunning (love the braid in her hair)!

From the photographer, Andi Grant:

This event was a gorgeous tent wedding by the water. The groomsmen arrived on a boat, there were tons of flowers, an Excalibur was their getaway car, and the rain during their ceremony made everything even more wonderful.

A Sweet North Carolina Wedding by RJSTILLS

It’s an art when photography is used to tell a story, and in these few images I feel like I know this beautiful couple and was there for their perfect day. Simple, sweet and full of love (and style), this is a wedding that truly makes our hearts smile.

From the photographer, Rusty, of RJSTILLS:

Pete & Kristen are salt-of-the-earth souls who just make you encouraged. They effortlessly cause you to, simply put, believe in marriage. They’re easy-going and easy-living and easy to love. And they took no less than one month to get in a car packed to the brim with wedding details, travel from one coast to the other, stop a few places to camp-out and visit with dear ones in between, and wed next to the ocean in one of the more beautiful ceremonies I’ve watched.

Congratulations, Pete and Kristen!

A Handmade New Jersey wedding by Jaye Kogut Photography

It’s Monday!!! I don’t know about you, but after an extremely busy weekend, it’s nice to sit and enjoy some amazing photos (thanks Jaye Kogut Photography) of a gorgeous wedding, and this one is right down our alley. Not only is it in New Jersey, our home state, but there are also so many handmade items that make us swoon. Just look at those bridesmaids bracelets!

From the creative bride, Teresa:

My inspiration was a blue bird I saw one morning sitting on my parents deck singing the most beautiful song to its mate. I love birds because most of them keep the same mate for life. And hearing the music the blue bird sang that morning just reminded me of the beautiful music Rob and I have made since we have been together. The cameo broach I gave my sister for her MOH bouquet I found looking on Etsy and it completely just gave me the feeling on me and her when I saw it. I knew I wanted her bouquet to stand out and I thought that broach just completely read “sisters” with the cameo of the two girls next to each other with whispy flowing hair and the other girl with the bird on her shoulder. My Earrings and bracelet from LolamBridal on Etsy BUT my inspiration for the earrings and bracelet came from the strand of pearls my grandmother left when she passed. She wanted all of her grand daughters to wear the pearls on their wedding day as she wore them on hers.

Congratulations, Teresa and Rob!

A Connecticut State Park Wedding by Sarah Tew Photography

Our next lovely wedding comes to us from Sarah Tew Photography. This Connecticut state park is the perfect location for an east coast affair. Greenery + ocean = too good to be true, but that is the east coast for you. Enjoy the beautiful scenery, stunning decor, oh yes…and adorable couple.

From the photographer…

My thoughts on this wedding can be summed up in one word: wow! It is rare that we photographers get so much punch packed into one location– this park was gorgeous– it featured a mansion for the getting ready and cocktail/reception, a sweet little ampitheatre for the ceremony, and the options for portraits were almost overwhelming! To make things even better Jesse & Jessica had a super sweet wedding that involved almost no “outside” vendors– in other words, everyone involved with their wedding (except the venue/caterer) was someone they knew personally! Jesse’s brother Kerk played the music for their ceremony, and their DJ, Christopher Torres, was a friend. The cake was made by the bride’s Grandfather, and the invitations were designed by Jessica’s sister (and maid of honor) Laura. Even I was an old friend of Jesse’s from Wesleyan. To top it all off, Jesse arranged to serenade his bride during the reception with an Al Green cover with his brothers performing as his backup band. So you can imagine with this DIY spirit what a warm-feeling celebration it was. For centerpieces they just put a white orchid plant with pretty little handmade paper covers over the pots (lacy looking, awesome idea) on each table surrounded by some little sand dollars and glass pebbles. Very simple but pretty, and guests enjoyed taking an orchid home!

A Tappan Hill Mansion Wedding by Meg Miller Photography

I have no idea why I am obsessed with this couple. Maybe it is their stunning good looks or their impeccably styled, picture-perfect wedding. I am such a sucker for pale pink and navy! Or maybe it’s their fairytale love story complete with London proposal that gets me? Whatever it is, Meg Miller Photography completely nailed this one and we thank her for giving us the honor of featuring it.

From the photographer…

Their love story could be the plot of an amazing romantic comedy. The met at work, as her desk was directly across from his. Amrit of course was taken by Allison’s beauty, but as they got to know one another, their connection was like no other. But what was he to do- she was his secretary! Love prevailed in this story, he proposed in London and were married in Tarrytown, NY this July. These photos give you a glimpse of the fun they have together!

A Backyard Wedding by Annie Agarwal Photography

Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.

~Louis de Bernieres (The couple printed this quote on the back of their programs)

Our next real wedding is a super stunner. And the venue? The backyard of the bride’s parents. I just adore backyard weddings, but the potential for rain scared me away from even considering one. The risk definitely paid for this couple, although, they are so cool and collected that I doubt even a natural disaster would have dampered their day. Thanks Annie Agarwal Photography for the opportunity to feature this amazing wedding.

From the photographer, Annie…

Mark flew to New York, while the bride was visiting her brother to make his grand proposal at a quaint little coffee shop. Months later, this same sweet, simple spirit was abundant at their outdoor affair. Married in her parent’s backyard, Laura knew she wanted a wedding that was lovely and organic. She opted for a neutral palette of soft pinks, peaches, greens and champagnes- which would compliment the beauty of nature. Her florists had roses flown in from England for the stunning bouquets. Laura’s family was involved in the ceremony, according to her wishes- with one brother officiating the service and the other praying over them as they planted a tree together. Laura, in her gown, stooped down, put on gloves and dug into the soil with Mark.
